Jicama

Jicama - eat fresh

Jicama is sweet, crunchy, and fresh all at once.  He may be a bit of a surprise to the uninitiated, who might be tempted to ignore him given his unassuming outside.  But it's Jicama's inside that counts!  Rolled, wrapped, tossed, and doused in citrus, Jicama is worth befriending.

P.S. Hat tip to @pjrvswp for nominating Jicama.

  1. Mmm...I've never cooked with jicama before! And that salad looks yum!

    1. Jicama is tasty even on its own—fresh, peeled, and sliced.
